​Artist statement

I am interested in the tension between the tangible and the ethereal: how material things (landscapes, objects, interiors) intersect with internal states, memories, identity and atmosphere. I like to let scenes “sit” with me — observing spaces, waiting, seeing what transforms through time or light.
Shadow, structure, subtle shifts tonality are important in my work.
Ultimately, I see my practice as an act of attentive presence. By dwelling in these thresholds between the seen and the felt, I hope to create images that invite pause and reflection and question how physical environments shape, and are shaped by, personal and collective experience.
